    Biotinylated Human / Cynomolgus Activin RIIA Protein, His,Avitag (ACA-H82Q3) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Ala 20 - Pro 135 (Accession # P27037-1). In the region Ala 20 - Pro 135, the amino acid sequences of Human and Cynomolgus Activin RIIA are identical.

    This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus, followed by an Avi tag (Avitag™).

    The protein has a calculated MW of 17 kDa. The protein migrates as 28-35 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

    Can lyophilized proteins remain stable during room-temperature shipping or temporary room-temperature exposure?

    In general, lyophilized proteins remain stable during room-temperature shipping or temporary exposure to room-temperature conditions.


    Many ACROBiosystems recombinant proteins are supplied in lyophilized (freeze-dried) form. The lyophilization process effectively removes moisture from the product, helping reduce degradation-related reactions and improve protein stability during transportation and storage.


    To evaluate the stability of lyophilized proteins under normal temperature conditions, ACROBiosystems conducted a stability study on 11 representative lyophilized protein products at 37°C. The study demonstrated that these proteins maintained good quality stability after storage at 37°C for approximately 20 days. Based on these validation results, temporary room-temperature exposure during shipping or handling is generally not expected to have a significant impact on product quality or downstream application performance.


    To ensure optimal long-term stability, products should be stored according to the storage conditions specified in the product Certificate of Analysis (COA) upon receipt.

Activin receptor type-2A (ACVR2A) is also known as activin receptor type IIA, ACTR-IIA, ACTRIIA, and ACVR2, and is a single-pass type I membrane protein. ACVR2A belongs to the protein kinase superfamily, the TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and the TGFB receptor subfamily. Upon ligand binding, ACVR2A forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors, which then phosphorylate and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. ACVR2A also serves as a receptor for activin A, activin B, and inhibin A (the latter in complex with betaglycan). Two type II activin receptors (ACVR2A and ACVR2B) have been identified, which bind different activins with distinct affinities.
