Source

Cynomolgus ITGA3&ITGB1 Heterodimer Protein, His Tag&Tag Free (IT1-C52W6) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Phe 30 - Glu 988 (ITGA3) & Gln 161 - Asp 868 (ITGB1) (Accession # A0A2K5VFM7 (ITGA3) & A0A7N9D0D7 (ITGB1)).

Predicted N-terminus: Phe 30 (ITGA3) & Gln 161 (ITGB1)

Molecular Characterization

Cynomolgus ITGA3&ITGB1 Heterodimer Protein, His Tag&Tag Free produced by co-expression of ITGA3 and ITGB1, has a calculated MW of 127.5 kDa (ITGA3) & 83.6 kDa (ITGB1). Subunit ITGA3 is fused with an acidic tail at the C-terminus and followed by a polyhistidine tag and subunit ITGB1 contains no tag but a basic tail at the C-terminus. The protein has a calculated MW of 113.1 kDa (ITGA3) & 83.6 kDa (ITGB1). The protein migrates as 110-150 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 50 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH7.5 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

Integrin alpha 3 beta 1 is a crucial receptor involved in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and invasion. It is composed of an alpha subunit (ITGA3) and a beta subunit (ITGB1), which together form the integrin alpha 3 beta 1 complex. This complex plays a significant role in the formation of invadopodia, which are cell membrane protrusions that facilitate cell invasion. The integrin alpha 3 beta 1 complex interacts with various extracellular matrix proteins, such as fibronectin, laminin, and collagen, and is involved in processes like matrix degradation and cell invasion. It is also implicated in the maturation of integrin beta 1, which is essential for cell survival and growth.
