Background

Recombinant Monoclonal Anti-MUC16 Antibody, Rabbit (M1D08) is a MUC16 primary antibody for IHC application.
MUC16 is a membrane-tethered mucin that contributes to a protective mucous barrier on epithelial surfaces. MUC16 supports cell adhesion and barrier-related functions through its heavily glycosylated extracellular region. It is localized to the plasma membrane and also detected in extracellular vesicles and the extracellular region. MUC16 expression is high in the respiratory system and female reproductive system.
