Source

Influenza A [A/Montana/43/2022(H3N2)] HA1 Protein, His Tag (HA1-V52Hb) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Gln 17 - Arg 345 (Accession # WBR48988.1).

Predicted N-terminus: Gln 17

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 38.1 kDa. The protein migrates as 58-70 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

  • -70°C for 3 months under sterile conditions after reconstitution.

Background

Hemagglutinin (HA) is a critical surface glycoprotein of the influenza virus, responsible for binding to host cell receptors and mediating viral entry. The HA1 subunit contains the primary antigenic sites, making it a key target for neutralizing antibodies. This mammalian-expressed recombinant protein ensures native glycosylation, ideal for vaccine and therapeutic research.
