RNase H is an endoribonuclease that can specifically hydrolyze RNA in DNA-RNA hybrid chains. RNase H cannot digest single-stranded or double-stranded DNA or RNA.

  • Application

Removal of mRNA during second-strand cDNA synthesis. Removal of poly(A) sequences from mRNA in the presence of oligo(dT). Oligodeoxyribonucleotide-directed cleavage of RNA.

  • Unit Definition

One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme required to produce 1 nmol of ribonucleotides from 40 pmol of a fluorescently labeled 25 base pair RNA:DNA hybrid in a total reaction volume of 50 µl in 20 minutes at 37℃.

  • Purity

    >90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

  • Formulation
