Source

Human ULBP4 Protein, His Tag (UL4-H52H3) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA His 31 - Asp 225 (Accession # Q8TD07).

Predicted N-terminus: His 31

Molecular Characterization

This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 24.3 kDa. The protein migrates as 33-43 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

Endotoxin

Less than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method / rFC method.

Purity

>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

>90% as determined by SEC-MALS.

Formulation

Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4 with trehalose as protectant.

Background

ULBP4 (UL16-binding protein 4), also known as RAET1E (retinoic acid early transcript 1E), NKG2DL4 (NKG2D ligand 4) and LETAL (lymphocyte effector cell toxicity activating ligand), is a member of the ULBP/RAET1 family. This and ULBP-5/RAET1G protein differ from other RAET1 proteins in that they have type I membrane-spanning sequences at their C termini rather than glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor sequences. This protein functions as a ligand for NKG2D receptor, which is expressed on the surface of several types of immune cells, and is involved in innate and adaptive immune responses.
